Commonly known as the “suicide tree”, this flower produces a powerful glycoside called cerberin which is highly poisonous. Cerberin takes effect within an hour. At first, a slight pain in the stomach occurs and then a coma occurs. This substance is undetectable in the body and, for this reason, it is also known as the “discreet murder weapon”.
